  6. This software adds/replaces many new graphic formats in PageStream
  7. V3.x  It  does  not  only  add  formats,  it also improves already
  8. supported formats by loading images MUCH faster.
  9.  
  10. All   formats  are  part  of  'Studio's  Universal'  filter.
  11. The Universal filter supports:
  12.  
  13.       BMP:  1,  4, 8, 16 and 24 Bit, Windows V3 and OS/2 format,
  14.             RLE4, 8, 24 compression
  15. DataTypes:  OS 3.0 DataTypes
  16.       DCX:  only the first image is printed
  17.       GIF:  supports 87a and 89 format
  18.  IFF ILBM:  including HAM, HAM8, EHB,...
  19.  IFF DEEP:  24 Bit RGB and RGBA, supports compression
  20.      JPEG:  8 Bit and 24 Bit JFIF, progressive JPEG
  21.       PCX:  1,2,4,8 and 24 Bit images
  22.       PGM:  8-bit
  23.       PNG:  incl. interlaced
  24.       PPM:  24-bit
  25.     Targa:  supports all known RGB, RGBA types incl. compression
  26.      TIFF:  1-64 Bit, RGB, RGBA, CMYK, YCbCr with None, PackBits,
  27.             RLE, JPEG, G3, G4, LZW and Next compression, Strips
  28.             or Tiles, Packed or separate color

  30. The  'Universal'  filter  allows  reading  many image formats with
  31. PageStream  V3.x  wich  are not originaly supported by PageStream.
  32. It  also allows formats like IFF ILBM and others to be loaded much
  33. faster.   For instance, 200-300% average speed increase for 24 Bit
  34. ILBM images.

  36. The  filter  is  FREE  to all owners of the CanonStudio and Studio
  37. printer  software.   The  software requires PageStream V3.1, V3.2,
  38. V3.3 or newer.

  41. AmiNet's  text/print drawer for a limited functional demo.  Studio
  42. is  a  commercial software sold by many dealers.  For a small list
  43. of  distributors  try  downloading  one  of  the Studio updates in
  44. biz/patch and search the readme file.
